Saddle washers are professional fastening solution designed to mount corrugated sheets and sandwich panels on both roofs and facades. Saddle washers produced by Aztec International are made out of 1mm thick aluminium sheet vulcanized with EPDM rubber. This simple but unique construction provides strong and reliable fastening. Their shape fits the profile of the roofing sheet producing a long-lasting fixture able to withstand difficult weather conditions. Installing sandwich panels using saddle washers does not differ much from using normal farmer screws. Our saddle washers are not punched from pre-painted sheet therefore they can be painted any colour afterwards.
Saddle washers provide a lot of benefits:
- Greater contact area offer an improved resistance against forces caused by negative wind load
- Larger sealing area is less susceptible to failure and leaking
- Vulcanized EPDM rubber lasts longer and has no shape memory in comparison to rubber foam offered by competition
- A significant vibration damping resulting i.e. in noise reduction is also noticed
- EPDM does not react chemically with translucent sheets (PCV, PC, PMMA)

Aztec’s saddle washers are designed to provide a permanent seal in a wide variety of applications, including metal roofs and siding where the expansion and contraction of metal require a permanent resilient seal.
Saddle washer is used for fastening of roof coverings in conjunction with either screws or bolts. It is used as a crown fixing and is therefore placed on top of the corrugations or ribs. Saddle washer has the shape that fits the profile of the roof covering.
Trapezoidal saddle washers are usually used on roofs and sidings made of corrugated metal sheets. For correct installation you need to use either farmer screws or bolts.
